OAKMOSS
TERREBONNE, OREGON
When first entering this main living area, the space felt generous yet lacked a defining focal point. The design goal became clear: introduce a feature that would ground the room while adding warmth, character, and purpose. The solution was a corner wood stove, thoughtfully positioned to anchor the space both visually and functionally.
More than a heat source, the wood stove serves as a sculptural element within this living room remodel. Custom steel built-in firewood storage and a Knotty Alder mantle add layered detail, blending durability with warmth and maintaining a cohesive material palette throughout the room. These intentional elements elevate the feature while reinforcing the home’s overall design language.
Surrounding the stove, a carefully selected tile pattern introduces texture and visual interest, further enhancing the focal point and giving the space a sense of craftsmanship and charm. The result is a living area that feels inviting, grounded, and well-suited for gathering—transformed into a room designed for comfort, connection, and lasting memories.
